Triple Play for World Relief: Movies, Fun Benefit Local Refugee Programs
On December 9th, 2016, Project Action is hosting its Triple Play for World Relief event, a night full of food, entertainment, and prizes. They will be playing three movies throughout the night, and there will also be food as well as raffles with great prizes.
However, this is not all the event provides: All of the proceeds from the event go to World Relief, an international organization that focuses on assisting and supporting refugees in ways such as helping them find housing as well as occupations. This event has partnered with World Relief DuPage/Aurora, a branch of World Relief that helps refugees in these particular regions.
The event is happening at the Main Street Recreation Center, and doors open at 5:15 p.m. while the first movie starts at 5:30 p.m. This will be the fourth year that this event has occurred, and last year was the club’s most successful year. This was extremely fortunate because at the beginning of 2015, World Relief DuPage/Aurora actually lost its funds for its elementary school refugees, and the proceeds from the event were able to make up for this.
This will be Project Action’s first year hosting the event with new leaders, so they are looking to meet, and hopefully surpass, the past success of the event. There is a suggested $5 entry, and the raffles and food are additional. Please join Project Action for Triple Play for World Relief so we can help our refugees feel at home in the world.
See you there!
