Things to do if you’re bored during quarantine
In order to stop the spread of COVID-19, students and staff have been sent home to practice social distancing. Many people have come up with ways to relax and have a good time while they are at home. While some activities might not be as active or engaging as the others, it is still important to keep your mental and physical health strong during these times. Here are some activities to try if you’re looking for something to do.
- Watch new movies on Netflix and Disney+ such as the newest Star Wars movie
- Complete a large puzzle
- Make a Google Hangout and meet up with friends
- Perform yoga to stretch out your body, yoga can improve respiration, energy and vitality
- Exercise on a yoga mat
- Draw pictures of things that you like
- Learn calligraphy through YouTube
- Read a book
- Make trendy foods
- Write journal entries based on your days
- Clear and reorganize your room
- Make a list of things that you are grateful for
- Play board games with a family member
- Have a indoor scavenger hunt with your family
- Have your family cut your hair
- Download Duolingo and learn a foreign language
- Study the art of beatboxing
- Read the Guinness Book of World Records
- Listen to music from your favorite artist on Spotify or SoundCloud
- Download TikTok and make videos with your family
Although school is suspended for the rest of this school year, it is still a good time to sit down and do one of these activities. Nobody knows how long this quarantine may last, which is why we need to remain active, especially at home.
