After teaching here at West for 28 years, Mr. Liechty is starting his well-earned retirement.
Mr. Liechty is a member of the Social Studies department and has taught many classes such as Contemporary World History, US Government, US History, Psychology, and Modern Issues.
He says that he will miss West’s fun spirit weeks, his colleagues in the Social Studies department, Jess Walters (one of West’s amazing social workers), and teaching subjects he is passionate about.
Mr. Liechty was also the amazing head coach of our chess team and admits that he will miss the great relationships he has formed with his players.
In his retirement Mr. Liechty plans on keeping busy! He wants to volunteer at his church, read, exercise, and spend more time with his wonderful family.
