Introducing the newest member to the Glenbard West staff, Mrs. Cikesh! Mrs. Cikesh is delighted to be at Glenbard West. Inspired by “awesome teachers” in high school, she pursued a career in education. In addition, she has been around technology all her life, so technology coaching seemed like the perfect fit!
For her education, she earned her undergraduate degree at Bradley University with a major in marketing, received her teaching certificate from Roosevelt University, and her coaching degree from Northern Illinois University. She has two masters degrees! Wow!
Growing up in Winfield, Glenbard West is very close to home, and she’s greatly enjoyed working with both staff and students. She feels West has an air of improvement, that the school pushes both teachers and students to be better.
When asked about her favorite part of West so far, she responded with “the people”. The “first day of school is my favorite moment,” says Mrs. Cikesh, “seeing upperclassmen helping underclassmen is great.” For Mrs. Cikesh, the community is what Glenbard West is all about.
