“AHH! THE PUMPKIN CREAM CHAI JUST CAME OUT! I NEED IT RIGHT NOW!”
On Tuesday, August 26th, over ½ of my 1st period class had grandes of the world-renowned Pumpkin Cream Chai from Starbucks. About one week ago, I skipped my way over to Starbucks after school to see what all this hype was about.
Now this article would be completely pointless just to talk about the plain, boring pumpkin chai. I went up to the barista and asked him to put a different spin on the drink. Whether it was a pump of vanilla or a shot of espresso, I was up for anything. He ended up putting caramel drizzle on top of the pumpkin cold foam.
I went outside to get that “first sip feeling” with that fresh, fall breeze. Boy, let me tell you. When the creamy, flavorful pumpkin cold foam hit my tongue, I knew this was a hit. The chai drink itself needed to break the cold foam barrier for me to actually taste it.
Along with the fresh, cinnamon-bursting chai drink came the smooth, rich caramel. I had no idea that pumpkin, cinnamon, and caramel were this good of a pairing. If someone were to put fall in drink-form, this would be it. It is soothing, nostalgic, and very good to your taste buds.
On another flavor note, while I was talking to the barista, he informed me of something. Do you want to know what it is? Well of course you do! Readers, the Apple Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso is coming back to Starbucks near you!
To top off, there are many other fall drinks on Starbucks’ menu. To name just a few, Pecan Oatmilk Cortado (with pecan cold foam!), Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte, and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew are all great beverages for the fall season. Starbucks also added Italian Sausage Egg Bites and Raccoon Cake Pops to perfectly pair with your delectable treat.
Whether you try these drinks or snacks once or you make it your fall go-to, it’s less about the cup in your hand but more about the cozy moments that come with it.
