Not many students can say their campus was once a movie set, but Glenbard West students can! The movie Lucas, released in 1986, is a classic coming-of-age story that follows student Lucas Blye through the complicated social dynamics of high school. Written and directed by David Seltzer, the film features a young cast including Corey Haim, Charlie Sheen, and Winona Ryder in her film debut.
In honor of the movie’s 40 year anniversary, The Glen Art Theater is hosting a special screening week. Additionally, Glenbard West’s The Glen Bard Newspaper is proud to have produced an original documentary about the film’s creation, featuring interviews and behind the scenes information about original cast members, extras, stunt doubles, and more!
