Introducing the newest member of the Glenbard West Math Department, Ms. Olivia Faron! Ms. Faron’s interest in mathematics sparked when she was a student in high school, helping to tutor fellow peers. She attended Illinois State University and began her teaching career at Lockport High School for one year before joining Glenbard West. Her favorite teaching memory was during her first year of teaching, when she was invited to a teacher appreciation night by the swim team.
Ms. Faron took the job at West seeing it as an excellent opportunity, noting she “loved the community,” for its involvement in many sports and events. She has been involved herself as a new coach of the West dance team.
At home, Ms. Faron enjoys activities, like spending time with her dog, watching her favorite TV shows, baking, and spending time with her family who live in Lemont, Illinois. She also enjoys traveling as she has been on a trip across Europe, emphasizing her time in Switzerland for the surreal scenery and unique infrastructure.
