And the Oscar goes to…

Award shows are a species of entertainment entirely on their own. You’ve got the glitz and glamour, the drama, the nominees, and of course, the snubs. 2019, in my opinion, had some of the best films of all time, and strangely, a lot of them had to do with being set in a different time period. This can be seen in Oscar nominations such as Little Women, Joker, 1917, and Jojo Rabbit. Every actor or actress dreams of winning an Oscar one day, which showcases just how important this particular award is. However, the Oscars are not without controversy. Last year it was no host, and now it is both their lack of host and lack of diversity in some categories. Let us dive into the biggest categories for nominees.
